That is beautiful. The 10th Doctor's personality just shines through this. Also, the way you named the system and the alien species does fit in quite nicely with the way DW names some of its aliens.

The idea behind the Passerine approach to excellence in the arts is chilling. And even though this is a very short piece, your happy ending packs quite a punch.
