So, I'm delving into web stuff for the first time. I have NO clue about Dreamweaver/HTML/CSS, and I'm getting extremely discouraged (I don't even know basic html). I've been reading books, finding online tutorials via YouTube, Adobe, random sites, etc. I even installed Firebug to see how other sites are created. But just can't get it ( Read more... )

yes. we have a subscription for my dept at work and it is really beyond helpful for us. the only challenge is in the css section it gets a bit overkill sometimes for us but still very deep in scope.

I get it through my school, but the bit about flash helped me beyond belief. I haven't used it for dream weaver but I'm assuming it's just as helpful.

I used this. (I know the site looks disgusting but don't let that discourage you!) Definitely teaches you all the basics and lets you practice what you learn while you're learning it! He also has a CSS one which is also great.

Only after you understand both HTML and CSS would I venture into looking at how websites are created. You gotta learn to crawl before you can walk, you know.

100% worth it. im in my last semester of my bfa in communication design. and iv been subscribed almost as long as iv been here doing this. i would not have made it through here without it. invaluable resource for me.. of course the value is 25 dollars a month.

Two words: Hell. Yes.

I absolutely love the site, and if you stay on top of your tutorials it's like learning several programs for the price of a single book on one subject.
