Living with a hard-core vegan has turned me back into a meat eater after being vegetarian for ten years. No one in this home can even think about cooking any food with any trace of animal in it without him leaving the room in disgust. exactly. pick your battles but also have a logical consistency to your battles, lest you want to drive your friends mad. he looks at us non-vegans like Hannibal the Cannibal incarnate if anyone cooks non-vegan food in our own-fucking-kitchen. how humane is that? ugh. the logical inconsistency of us humans is so frustrating to me sometimes...
