Squee!! Fabulously done, Kribu! I love this line: Besides, it really wasn’t in his best interest to let her suffer. Not just because it was giving him a headache. An unhappy employee was a less efficient employee. Oh, he's sooo kidding himself! LOL And his random thought of inviting Hermione and Minerva to come over and sing, dance, and get drunk with him really set me off into a fit of giggles. Last line is an evil cliffie! Lovely, m'dear! :D

Thank you! :-)

I figured he might try to explain his worry by enlightened self-interest. The poor guy!

He's really kidding himself... and we'll see! I'm very curious to find out too!

I love how you've shown his denial in so many places. And that last line is very tantalizing!

In so many places and so many ways... and all that on top of a headache.

Thanks!

Oh, this is lovely the way he tries to think of something he can do for her. I strongly believe Severus is a man of action (not rash, impulsive action like certain Gryffindors, but definitely action). So, it completely makes sense that when in love - whether or not he admits that - he would want to do something to alleviate her pain.

His attempt and fear at luring her into conversation about her problems was particularly amusing and painfully enderaring.

I definitely think he'd want to do something, yes - once he's aware of an issue. And he can be so protective. And sweet (let's not tell him that though).

Thanks!

The mental image of Severus, Minerva, and Hermione in a Christmas-decorated cottage ... drunk, with music playing and all three of them getting down in his sitting room ... see icon for my reaction.

Thanks for posting these! What a great set!

I really wouldn't put it past the Minerva you people had come up with! *grins*

Thanks so much. I giggled when I wrote that bit, too.
