I enjoyed your story. :) When I read it I immediately thought of an Irish comedy sketch that was done based on the twelve days of Christmas. It's hilarious. Have you ever heard it?

Funny and incredibly sweet! Lovely double drabble. (Although it might have been funny to see the four days preceding this, I think your version is perfectly concise - part of the point of a good drabble.)

It's fun to think that in the magical world, this twelve days of Christmas scenario is both easier to accomplish and seems to have much more dangerous results.

And the one golden ring comment... we'll that's just a great big bundle of fluff. :)
