Positively heartbreaking, but lovely none-the-less. It's always good to see these in contrast to all the fics/drabbles where everything can and does work out in the end.

Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I like to have some contrast as well, especially considering that I am one of the writers who almost always writes a happy ending. By the way, where on LJ did you find such a lovely icon? Tis *gorgeous.*

That was supposed to be quietly heartbreaking ... it's the fact he will never be able to mourn her loss, instead he will have to carry the weight of his guilt. Very sad.

Thank you. And yes, it is very sad. But sadness is a part of life and relationships just as much as euphoric love is. I think that this challenge will be bringing out more euphoria than anything... :)
