Thank you, ginny! Yes, he kind of got all 'prickly' when she questioned the reliability of a project he took part in. Wonder if she (being such a good friend of the Weasley's) knew about the Passionscope before hand??? *smirks at the possibilities*
I liked how Severus admitted to Hermione that it was 100% reliable. He could have taken the easy way out and agreed with Witch Weekly. I love to see him have insecurities like the rest of us. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I was really playing up his inner insecurity versus his basic human need to be loved. Also, a bit of Hermione guiding her own fate, so to speak. Glad you liked it!
I can't help thinking Hermione isn't as innocent as she seems. She conveniently had a Passionscope in her hand when approaching Severus... And then, there's the title. Kind of a hint, isn't it ?
Well, benebu, I think you're on to something. Would a sharp woman like Hermione (and good friend of the Weasleys) know nothing about their latest project? Possibly, possibly not. And she was suddenly quite forward. Maybe she was impatient with him? Or sensed the time was 'ripe'?
Re: the title. I have the worst time thinking of titles for these things!!!In my mind, it's a play on words that should leave you with the impression that she's not totally innocent. In the US we have a saying, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." So, "Hermione's trick is Sev's treat." Maybe I dwell too much on these things. Thanks so much!
