What was a free service for 14 years is now gone. I get that photobucket wants to be paid, But I really wish they wouild remove their inserted imgage ad of Pay up or else. This is going to require some painful editing of the site. I do not control the images. I went into my photobucket and didn't find the images used to make the site pretty ( Read more... )

I've been worried! Had not heard about this Photobucket blackmail campaign at all, and I was afraid the site had been hacked somehow, apart from LiveJournal ...? Very confusing. I'm so glad you knew what it was. GS100 can do without 'em, we really can.

the photobuck issues is a TOS condition and it impacts lots and lots of sites from ebay to farcebroke.

Thanks for staying on top of it all, Droxy. Functional is more important, so at least there's that. Social media really has changed a lot in the last year and it all sucks.

I am off social media for now. I am recreating accounts for the real self to have a presence when I am asked to fork over my passwords. Sick of the general negativity of on line social media. Plus the intrusion is insane.

Thanks for letting us know. I haven't used Photobucket, but I can imagine what a PIA it was to take care of that situation.
