I do love this installment! I'm so happy to see scheming Lavender getting involved, too; that's bound to be fun.
There are plenty of bits that I love here, but I think I especially admire Eileen's saunter of shame (one wonders if the students appreciate who she is) and poor Severus' spill at the end, what with the bouncing balls and all. It made me crack up again this morning!
I've had Lavender in the back of my mind since we started this project. She's got the perfect personality for a wedding planner - all gossip and fashion all the time - but Duniazade's idea about the corporate shenanigans has made it a much more interesting role than I'd envisioned at first. It's so much fun having other peoples' ideas to build on, I'm really loving this project.
I figure Eileen has to have some sense of swagger, being Severus' mom, but that she'd play it very differently.
Molly refused to heal the gouges her nails had left across the cheek of the ungrateful, mother-maligning son she should never have allowed to be born.
Careful, there! You almost made me feel sorry for Percy.
I'd probably feel sorry for Narcissa, too, except that she had it coming.
Eileen was quite the little Slytherin in her day. Apparently her day is not yet over. Somehow I doubt this will make her a docile little lamb.
So the battling biddies are going to make things better by hiring a professional? (Lavender Brown, that scheming bitc, er, traitor! Bite her, Pigwidgeon!) Oh, yeah! That's gonna make things so much better! Severus and Hermione are definitely going to need a back-up plan.
Somehow, I don't think "start a Goblin war" is going to be the best possible back-up plan, though it may seem like an attractive alternative to this wedding!
Narcissa absolutely had it coming, as did Percy, just for being Percy. OTOH, I'm not sure Eileen deserved what she got.

Of *course* the whole thing was Lucius' idea...

Lucius has always struck me as the sort of man who adjust reality to suit his purposes rather than the other way around.
*revives the mad one*
