 I like: english breakfast tea and space heaters. I also got to catch up with some old friends over the phone today, and I feel extremely refreshed by that.

 A lot of great has been happeining in my life lately. I'm working my way into being more completely immersed in art. My career is lifting off and it's pretty thrilling. My lovely, impressive, the-illustrious-Kate-Lawrence-designed website is now functional! This is an exciting moment, and I feel very professional. Now I have my very own site to tell people to go to in order to see my work. No more free, smacking-of-amateur gallery sites for me!

I just got back from my interview at The Mud Room, and I am hired! I will be starting around the 20th of July! I interviewed with Erin, the new owner. She apparently bought the place a year ago. She openly admitted that she is still learning new things about ceramics, and seemed really excited that I know a lot about it and have things to teach her ( Read more... )

Adam and I are pumped about our new place! We both were talking about it before the wedding, and we both feel like our new life together will officially start when we move in to our new apartment. I have never gotten to live with a significant other before and I can't wait to start! We went furniture shopping and got some great stuff:

 I learned something fascinating about my grandma today: she has Charles Bonnet (bo-nay) Syndrome.

The human brain is very effiecient at finishing up a partial picture of something: for example, if we see the outline of a circle with part of the line erased, our brain will fill that in and we will still see a circle. This is called a "gestalt." ( Read more... )
