I'm not crying today; I made my peace with things several months ago.  What I've been is angry.

I know that I process emotions differently, but for the last several months, Isis has been miserable.  All the breed-specific problems associated with aging, she's had in spades: hip

Sorry to hear it. Glad you're free to get on with the mourning now.

And cleaning the carpet for the last time this quarter.  Aging dogs do a number on carpet.  I will miss her, but I will not miss that part.

I'm picking a spot in the garden for her ashes, away from where the feral cats are breeding in the shed.
