She's scoped the joint out, making sure noone is nearby to observe her and is disguising her voice by speaking in a lower pitch than normal, speaking through a set of walky talkies and placing a towel over the receiver. The resulting voice is waspish and androgynous, not recognizable as ( Read more... )

"While I find your idea somewhat admirable, I do not believe stealing from drones is the correct way to undertake undermining authority in this town. And calling your move before you try it is a very, very dangerous dance."

I'm only just getting warmed up, Mister Garviel.

And what is life without a challenge? Simply smashing and grabbing with no warning lacks excitement. This way I can duel with that slow witted lummox.

"It would appear you have me at a disadvantage. You know me by my vox-signature, but I cannot place you. I am not concerned for Grady, but rather the drones who work at the hardware store. It is their livelihood you interfere with."

...There are other ways of getting back at them.

Like what? Are you going to sally forth and fight them?

Of course. I still don't have a plan yet, but it worked before. I'm sure that as soon as we have enough clues, it'll work again.

And anyway, why steal? It wouldn't make things better, and besides that, there's a chance of you getting caught.

I'm sure there are other ways to rebel against the enemies. Have you considered alternatives such as throwing eggs at Police Officer Grady's house? Or slash the Milkman's tires on his milk truck?

Your sarcasm is amusing. But i'm only warming up with this.

Oh, sorry. I did not intend for sarcasm. I think if you were to throw wrenches in their plans, you should pester them directly. I don't see how stealing jewelry from the Hardware store can be a constructive act of defiance. I don't like them much either.

Truthfully, i'm just warming up with this. I intend to move on to more vital items once i'm back in practice.

Also, it will infuriate Grady. Is that not a worthy goal in itself?
