I can't believe I did that

Well... I watched Grey's Anatomy.

Still glad I watched The Office last night, because even if I spent 43 minutes on this today... there's a lot more day left to make up for it.

Bailey said it best "I'm speechless."  (and not in a good way.)

On the sliding scale it was better than the season finale, exceeded my ridiculously low expectations, but still ( Read more... )

Actually... I totally don't think the writers screwed up by having Mark tell Derek that he came back for him. Although on the show Mark kept acting as though he came back for Addison, he expressed concern about Derek since his appearance in "Yesterday." Plus, I remember Shonda and Eric Dane commenting that Mark wasn't there for Addison, but there for Mark since his arrival in season 3. So no, that comment didn't even phase me.

** but there for Derek sorry I get crazy when I'm in a stadium at a football game and in the sun for hours and hours so I'm kind of out of it. But yeah, I take more issue with Derek's bi-polar behavior towards Mark. First he was accepting him 'comforting' him when Meredith had her... thing; banter that was approaching friendly during the race for Chief; being somewhat sympathetic towards Mark when he had his 'where is Addison' freak out; and having Mark there at Burke's bachelor party, even if he was there just to take up space. And now we're back to 'you're not my friend' or whatever and essentially a 'get lost, bitch' ?! Are we seriously regressing to that again? I feel like this interaction will be as bad as the on-and-off interaction with the character relationships... just another way of milking the 'will they or won't they?'

dear sweet jesus you hit every point. And since I'm not half as coherent as you are when it comes to show analysis, I'll just say this:

you forgot the part about Derek being all concerned about Meredith's psychological well being and stuff and at the same time not telling Cristina about Burke for two weeks. Because his priorities seem a little backwards. Seeing as how he's lost without Burke and Meredith has the social mind of a child.

This really wasn't an analysis as much as it was just a rant. I don't know... if I had seen this tomorrow I'd probably have a better answer for you but I just get in from a football game and I may have heat exhaustion... but I'll give it a go. As far as Derek not telling Cristina... I'll grant him some slack because Cristina and Meredith disappeared to go on the honeymoon for 2 weeks. He may have had some time to process how he felt about the Meredith situation. However, I did have a problem with the issues with Derek and Mark... it seems as though they can't resolve them and just want them to fight so they can have this climatic resolution or the on-again-off-again that they've done this far. I'd offer examples, but I need to find more aloe vera stuff.
