Leaving Neil's hotel room, tagging and plot-locked to Sophie Neveu

[OOC: Follows straight on from this. Link NWS.] James was quiet when he finally shifted off the bed, leaving Neil sleeping soundly. He pulled up the covers and tucked him in, before quietly slipping into the bathroom where he washed himself quickly

"James?" Her room was only a short distance down from Neil's, apparently.

"What're you doing here at this hour?" She cast a glance to the door where he'd come out - she had come out of the last 'up' elevator.

James stopped dead in tracks, half-way shrugging on his jacket. Stared at Sophie.

"Uh..."

Shit, shit, shit. He glanced back to Neil's room and then looked back to Sophie, attempting with everything in his power to mask himself by keeping his face neutral.

"I was just... visiting someone I know."

She arched her brow.

Damned if he didn't look like a deer in the headlights. She moved forward a little, setting her hand against his arm.

"Yeah?"

He nodded, perhaps a little too quickly. The touch of her hand against his arm felt like it was burning.

"Yeah," he replied, managing to keep his voice even.
