He had hardly slept all night, he couldn't get that feeling out of his system, the one that had made him someone for a night. Even if it was just pretend. Neil had a few dollars in his pocket, that James had given him for food, and maybe a coffee shop wasn't the best place to consider spending his money, but he didn't know that. He was so very confused, abou so many things in this world that was so very different from the time he'd left.

He ordered something decadent, based on the advertising picture, and a chicken salad bagel, and the cost about knocked him over from shock. He cancelled the drink order and asked for water instead. He paid it because h had no choice, and took his purchase to a nearby table.

As the waitress came over he settled his book down, metaphysical poets, and glanced up at her with a polite smile. He ordered a latte and a cream cheese and salmon bagel.

The waitress, being as they usually were around him, seemed to become clumsey and ended up somehow knocking his book off of the table and onto the floor. Azazel almost growled at her as he watched it slide across the floor.

Neil, being polite and senstive to others, instinctively picked up the book, and as he did, his eyes scanned the title. He brightened for one fleeting moment.

"Sir?" He said, holding the book out to Azazel, and still sort of eying the cover.

He was still scowling at the waitress as he turned to get the book but it was then he heard the voice. Slowly he looked up to see the young man before him holding his book. 'Thank you,' he said softly but made no attempt to take the book from him, 'some people do not understand the importance of books.'
