She had actually fallen asleep curled up in Simon's arms, even though she hadn't actually been tired. But as she woke a frown fell on her face, there was a body curled up with her own. At first she felt a little panic run through her, then she thought Silas might have crawled in with her, they had cuddled before. Never in bed. No never in bed. She

Simon awakes alone as he is accustomed to ... but when he remembers that he fell asleep with River, panic sets in.

Where had she gone?

He was just rational enough to calmly, if a bit quickly, do a scan around the apartment for her. Noise in the kitchen perked up his ears and he moved to the doorframe of it, less quiet and more urgent than River's movements.

"River?"

She stopped and lookd up at him, a knife in her hand, 'You are awake,' a look of dissapointment flittered over her face, 'I wanted to bring you breakfast.' Picking up a piece of fruit she held it to him for him to eat.

He smiled just a little, slipping forward to eat the piece of fruit from her fingers.

It was good sign that she was up and coherent enough for this. "Well, I could go back to sleep."

She smiled watching him eat the fruit, just like when they were little, just like on Serenity. 'You could, but you know now.'

A frown fell on her face, 'Unless you want to eat in bed.'
