I've only ever seen one knighting and that was Sir Peter's. Waaaaay back in the mists of time. I barely remember any of it. My first event was a tourney on the day after Sir Kane's knighting back in 1989. I missed Sir Snorri's and Sir Randal's knighting too.
It was a shame that so many people missed mine - notably some of my peers in the lcoal heavy fighting fraternity (knights and squires both). A few people assumed that I'd be getting knighted at the Tavern or the High Feast. Wheras for my part I assumed everyone would be there on Saturday morning for opening court. :(

It gives me hope that I can one day return to the SCA when I feel the time is right and continue on my own path.
