Challenge 91 - Hearts and Valentines
First a warning. I tend to be a little wordy in my challenge entries, but only because I'm trying to inspire you and make things interesting. So I hope you'll bear with me. :)
Alright...
For my first challenge in the community I thought we would do a Valentines Day/heart themed challenge. There are two parts to this challenge. In the first part is a large graphics challenge and you will be making banners for a LiveJournal entry. The second part is your standard icon challenge.
Part 1 - Holiday/Heart Banners
The idea behind this part is to make a banner that you can post in an entry in your journal. It can be a Happy Valentines Day banner or it can be some other type of banner, for instance a banner expressing friendship. Like "I heart my flist" or something. Even if you dislike Valentines Day you can still do this challenge because if you want you can put your own spin on it. So if you want to make a banner with black hearts that says 'Valentines Day makes me sad' or whatever, you can. It can be whatever your feelings are about the day. Using quotes from lyrics or poems or anything is also encouraged. Pretty much anything goes as long as there are hearts on your banners.
+ You may make up to 3 banners.
+ You may use the images provided or find your own.
+ Let's try to keep the size under 400x400 pixels.
+ All effects and text are allowed, except - no animation.
+ Post your banners in a comment to this entry
Part 2 - Heart Icons
+ You may enter up to 3 icons
+ You may use the images provided or find your own.
+ You may mix the images
+ All effects are allowed, except - no animation.
+ Your icons should meet LJ standards. Not more than 100x100 pixels and no more than 40k.
+ Your icons should be new for this challenge.
+ Please do not post your icon anywhere until voting is over and the winners have been announced.
IMAGES These images are for both parts. Use them or find your own. Feel free to mix images.
