me_im_a_thief said that a fandom is: "basically its a group of fans -devout, sometimes obsesive fans of a person, character, book, movie, etc". And apparently livejournal is the best place to see them. That's what me_im_a_thief said, pretty much explained it to me cuz I didn't know what it was either.
So I guess its pretty much anything that you have becomed hooked to, or liked in the past sort of thing. I hoped that helped ^_^
