As we rapidly head towards the Easter break, I am looking forward to trying to get ahead of the game in terms of course preparation for the two classes I'm teaching - I'd already got a lot of material I could use since I'd taught stuff at a similar level in the last academic year but (of course) no two courses are completely alike. I've been having exactly the same thoughts re: Nine Worlds, I suspect if I do go I'll probably end up looking for the nearest budget hotel (Premier Inn or similar) but I just keep dithering!

I'm so excited for Helsinki, definitely going for a longer time so I can explore the city & country a bit more.

The problem is that even the usually cheap hotels are not cheap in that area. *sigh*

As for next year, it's currently going to depend a lot on when I finish teaching for the year since it's the first weekend in August, so that may well mean going elsewhere after the con rather than before. So much to see, so much to do! ;)
