I don't think you are wusses who complain too much. You are very right when you say you are not designed for this heat. Your houses are ready for wet and cold, and all those carpets and heat don't mix well.
This summer is being extreme, we have the buildings ready and the proper skin tones but still feel it. I hope it gets better in the next weeks.
And well, hope let's Friday I can feel a bit of typical British weather in London. I want that!
I know, we're all terrible wusses who complain all the time and we don't know what real weather is, yadda yadda yadda, but none of us (and most of our buildings) aren't designed for this.
You're allowed. 8-) This very hot and humid weather is also scarce where I live, and we are as equally unprepared for it. Why should I have a/c when I'd only use it a few weeks in the whole year? But those few weeks...oy.
