Coincidentally, I recieved this for my Intro to Judiasm class (that is for work) and I found it quite motivational, and a wonderful reality check this week. I think I am going to be writing a lot more in the very near future, but for now this is all I have. I hope it helps someone, like it did for me

Do you ever just feel like the Jews are more reasonable than the rest of us? I do. I mean, honestly, when I read things like this I'm just struck by how reasonable and decent the whole thing is. There's none of this crap about how you're a bad person because you've put some body part in the wrong place at the wrong time or with the wrong person. No, it's more like, hey, you're a human being, you're gonna fuck up now and again, but just try to improve the world, okay? You're lucky to be here, you're endowed with consciousness and intelligence and moral capacity, so do something good, because what you do matters and who you are matters and how you treat people matters, because the day to day? It matters. Not the afterlife, not your supposed "reward' for living a just life, but right the fuck now. It matters. Be decent
