LOVE podfic. I listened to the Reperations/Foundations ones last year and it was such a blast! Being able to take fic with you into the car and to have it around the house...it's such a cool thing.

Would love to hear about your reread! I read them before I started writing and it was much faster than I'd expected but, even more surprising, the reread didn't really...stick when I was so immersed in fanon. I bet doing it again now would be intriguing!

It's just so convenient! :D

And i really am overdo for a reread, so I'll probably do that in the next few months. I'm sure I'll make a post with my thoughts. I'm a little nervous for some reason.

I read Fantastic Beasts last year, as research for my fic Muggle Beasts and Where to Find Them. I continue to be amazed by the complexity of Rowlings world building. I mean, wow. When I write, I have sort of a vague idea of what the surroundings are like, what they look like and I make the rest up as I go along. But sometimes I get the impression that the whole Harry Potter world just popped into her head one day, finished and ready to be written about.

I also want to re-read Reparations & Foundations. They are my favourite fics and are a huge reason that I am in the fan community. I had been a lurker for a long time, but when i read them, I just knew I had to comment and let Nat know how much I loved them.

Oh I know! Reading these side books just really brings home the complexity of the HP world.

And yeah, they really are just fantastic and the Foundations!verse is one of my absolute favorites! I definitely recommend the podfics if you want to try something different. I'm really enjoying them!

You're welcome! They really are so much fun to listen to. I'd forgotten how long Foundations was until I saw how many hours it is in podfic form! :D
