The Israeli army is just that, an army. The fact that they are fighting a foe, whether that foe is perceived or not, should not surprise anyone. No one threatens this army and not expect retaliation. she is one brave lady--do you know where she is from? I hope she is safe, with opinions like that! I'm glad she is able to speak her mind and perhaps make one person reconsider.

Wow, that interview blew me away. First is because she and my mom say exactly the same things, about this being a clash of the times, and also because she was so adamant and forthright. I loved what she said about no Jew has ever blown himself up in a restuarant, etc.

Regarding the situation in the Mideast, I feel I have to support Israel, even if I don't like what she does. I heard an interview of some IDF official Isreal has to protect herself and the Jews as the world has a bad track record.

I think this time the Israelis have to think, in fact the discussions within Israel have already started. This war was the most costly for Israel, with many soldiers lost. What the Israeli troops do during war should be presented to a war crimes tribunal, as they do not fight the enemy but use the concept of punishing the civilian population associated with the enemy. We see this policy carried out in Lebanon and in the West Bank and Gaza ( ... )
