MUMFORD & SONS. OMG AGAFGSDGHDSFGSDFHFGHF *flails* I love them so much, the sound of them, the themes in their lyrics, all thngs you just don't really find in a lot of mainstream music. And I totally second the idea of their perfection, that they can take to the moon and back. I have so much love for them. And the lead singer's voice has this wonderful gritty texture to it, so real and emotional. I am so happy you found them, you have no idea.

And I love that fic and I want that tea and while your eating habits may be crazy, they are entertaining as hell to read about.

i am happy too! we're going to have to have mad doctor plans about this album, someday, i.e. transforming it into inspiration for awesome spn fanwork. IT IS TOO RIGHT for the show! oof.

And the lead singer's voice has this wonderful gritty texture to it, so real and emotional.
YES - reminded me of caleb from kings of leon, and sent me for a loop. he gets teeth-gritting vicious and i'm so into it.

For some reason, I suck at connecting songs to the show and seeing these intricate emotions that all line up together unless someone else points it out so I have spent most of today listening to the album and feeling like I can't breathe with how Winchester it is.

he gets teeth-gritting vicious
Best fucking description ever. You can really hear how how he is putting into it, teeth bared, lips pulled back and just forcing it out so his voice has somewhere to go. Powerful, powerful stuff.

WAIT. Does this mean you never saw killabeez's 'Little Lion Man' vid from last year? How on earth did you get through Season Five??? That vid and their album I bought immediately after single-handedly got me through. Seriously, fandom should not be allowed to rest until every single song on that album has been vidded, it's all so Winchester I don't even know what to do with it. I've had all of them marked at some point or another, but 'after the storm' is the one that's been nagging me most. I hadn't noticed 'roll away the stone' works so well now, good find! Someone get on that! (But even Winchesterness aside, it is a phenomenal album. OH LORD, THOSE CRESCENDOS, YES. And the thematics! I swear I've listened to it first song to last over a hundred times in the past year and every time I get something more out of it.)

Which is all the long-winded way of saying, I have no idea how you've missed them in fandom last year but, CONGRATS FOR FINALLY DISCOVERING IT. Life is just better with Mumford!

DUDE. micalaux mentioned this to me, and i went sniffing around but did not find it. thanks for the download, I CRIED. A LOT. like, WHAT. i wish i was not completely out of the vidding loop, because homg that is a world of heart-wrenching i wouldn't mind succumbing myself to. jesus, there were bits in that of sam looking so awful i couldn't remember when it was; him alone in the car in the rain to this ominous banjo, dean bouncing the impala off the rise of the street and just laughing, god, the ENTIRE BACK END OF IT, just put me over. what an incredible vid.

so glad i get to relish in this awesome album with you now! i will be heel-clicking, should we ever be graced with an spn vid of theirs from you.

Yea, sadly Killa locked her journal last spring, so the original post doesn't come up anymore. But yea, that vid, it is everything I love about vidding in three minutes, the joy section to the end, I just die everytime I watch it still. It's emotional reaction capacity is just AMAZING to me. But really it's how much it fixed canon that makes it #1. (Her 'Dean and Sam are ours now' quote I used for the focus of Kill A Man? Came from a post about putting this vid together, btw.)

What I really want is for canon to give me a reason to vid 'The Cave' already, but I'm not really holding my breath at this point.

BTW, I saw you posted your J2 AU!!! If I wasn't smack in the middle of finals, I would SO have read it right away. I make awful sacrifices for studying, but it is my REWARD, COME SATURDAY!

I'd never heard of them until I happened to catch a bit of the Bonnaroo webcast back in June. I watched their set and immediately hit the iTunes store. They're amazing, and truly unique---and I've always been a sucker for a well-aimed banjo;)

I totally agree about Mumford and Sons. I fell in love when I downloaded that album, and listen to it at least once a day. They're one of those bands that put so much feeling and thought into their music that you have to stop and LISTEN to it. Siiiiigh. So good! <3

YES - on my first listen, bro-in-law was just staring at me, waiting for me to get it. and i remember thinking, okay, yeah, sounds like ray, i'm into it. and then they swung into that INSANITY of the 2nd half of "sigh no more" and i was like, OH. YES. i get it now. i hear it.

jam on! so amazing.

Oh, I love Mumford and Sons!

Also, I feel as though this Twinings chai tea ad with Aldis Hodge and Stephen Fry is appropriate here!
