This was me this summer. I was watching Search for Spock at my parents, my dad couldn't believe I hadn't seen The Motion Picture. So he put it in. I fell asleep during the OMG HERE'S THE ENTERPRISE ISN'T SHE PRETTY? scenes

Look don't even start me on the whole cosmic relevence of Kirk/Spock...the way Destiny seems to have played a hand in the whole 43 year saga, the way, no matter what others try to do with Kirk and Spock the end result is always that they are soul-mates (stupid film Generations, I'm looking at you!) The way the characters themselves drove the whole thing, the way the bright and sensitive woman of the world found and nurtured this beautiful relationship, the way all other pairings (except Shatnoy for obvious reasons) pale into insignificance in the Supernova blaze of Kirk/Spock *le sigh*

I will shut up now...suffice to say that after a very intense round of K/S arguement in another forum, I have embarked upon writing a book about Kirk/Spock, about how when and where it came about, about what it means about why it exists and about why people see it when others refuse to...
