Ah, this makes me ache. The awkward air is painful, but they had to get through it, to stay on track. Melancholy Spock is sad and sweet, and Jim throwing up his masks is even sadder. Spock, tear down those masks and make that boy yours.

I don't think this is worse than your other writing -- it just makes me like your writing all the more. Can't wait for the next part!
