The mirror of Erised. Aww, Harry sees his parents. I recall the book event when it dawned on me (sometime shortly before the second book came out) that "Erised" was "desire" backwards. I felt smart for that back in '98. Shut up.
Back-tracking to the quidditch match. This is obv. the best quidditch match in all the movies. Because this was the first one. The one that would define all the others. And Columbus made it look like Sims were playing. FOr which, all other directors have gone "NO". Great match.
RON WANTS EVERYTHING ALL NORMAL BOYS WANT, EVEN THOUGH IT'S WIZARD-Y VERSIONS OF NORMAL BOY STUFF. I actually really appreciate that about Ron. He just sees in Erised being Head Boy and standing out from his brothers. He's so normal.
Which, I think is exactly why Harry is now ignoring him. We can't have normies around when we're trying to Nancy Drew our way through big bad potions teachers, three-headed dogs, and various secrets from the large man.
You know, when I put it like that, I'm almost relieved it's just Voldemort coming back, and not the freaking wizarding apocalypse.

SO, RIGHT NOW WE'RE ON SORCERER'S STONE. AND PRETTY WELL INTO IT.
LOL @ "THAT'S AN INVISIBILITY CLOAK, HARRY. THEY'RE REALLY RARE."
SO RARE, IN FACT, RON, THERE'S ONLY ONE.
HALLOWS WAT?

I do now that we've had a Hedwig montage.
