Dari, meanwhile, had just gotten out of Arithmancy. Brilliant class, even if it was challenging. Of course, Dari liked most of her classes. They were mostly fascinating and even the ones she wasn't very good at were more or less enjoyable. Even Charms, now that Ash was here teaching it.

It was an alright morning so far, too. Things were still weird with not seeing Jeremy much, but she was trying not to think about that too much. At least, not until she had to. Right now, she was just making herself focus on school and other things as she walked down the corridor, debating between heading to the library or maybe heading elsewhere since her next period was free.

Hearing footsteps, Emilia turned, her lip curling slightly when she saw Dari walking down the corridor. It wasn't that she disliked the girl particularly, but the company the Ravenclaw kept couldn't help but raise Emilia's suspicions.

Still, there was always some hope with a pureblood and so with a curt nod, Emilia acknowledged the other girl.

"Good morning, Dari."

Dari saw nothing wrong with the company she kept. After all, she thought her friends were completely fantastic! Then again, she didn't care about the sorts of things Emilia did.

"Good morning," she replied as the girl greeted her, even though she wasn't so sure about the good part. She was determined to make it a good day, but as much as she tried not to think about certain things, it wasn't easy.

Conversation with someone else could help, though, right?

"How are you?" she added politely.

It was ridiculous, really, the extent that bloodline controlled Emilia's social interaction. If she discriminated in any other way - interests, talents, attitudes - then in all likelihood she wouldn't have given Dari the time of day. Still, no point thinking about what could have been.

"Terribly bored," Emilia replied, illustrating her point by moving her hand to her mouth as if to cover the daintiest of yawns. "Defence against the Dark Arts first period. It's enough to send anyone to sleep, wouldn't you agree?"

As she spoke, she scrutinised Dari's appearance, checking over her for any sign that she was fraternising with mudbloods. Emilia wasn't quite certain how this would show, but she was sure that it must.
