She... was an idiot.

Simply put, he'd heard her for a good ten of the fifteen minutes that she'd been in his lair, considering that the dungeons were his space. Rather than just letting her find him, as that would be no fun in the long run, he'd decided to trail her, waiting for her to figure out that he was there.

After ten minutes? He doubted that she would be able to deduce it.

Hell, she had a rock in her hand, for crying out loud. There was no way that she was going to be brilliant enough to do anything about him if she thought that all she needed, without a wand, was a rock.

Leaning against the wall as he turned the same corner that she just had, he drawled in a bored tone, "Really. So primitive. And who might you be looking for?"

Bailey was definitely NOT an idiot, thank much. She just... underestimated him! Or something! Because she was obviously so very stealthy, and no one could ever have heard her coming, no matter what they said or thought. Impossible! Hmph.

She jumped about TEN FEET (or a couple of inches) into the air when Wes was suddenly speaking to her, though, with a loud yelp that she would never, ever admit to making. So uncool.

So she hadn't snuck up on him! SO WHAT. She could revise her plan! She spun around, brandishing her rock high above her head, obviously prepared to bring it down on him if need be!

"Give me back me wand, YE SCALLYWAG, or I shall beat ye head into a pulp against these very stones! ARRR!" she didn't know why she was suddenly talking like a pirate, except that it was intimidating. Yeah, that was it!

A rock -- and to top it off, the Gryffindor was talking like a pirate. He hadn't really understood what she was saying, other than the fact that she wanted her wand. That was just laughable, but he slipped her wand out of his pocket as though he was going to think about giving it back to her.

"You want your wand back?"

Shaking his head slowly, he twirled the wand between his fingers as though it was his own. "Merlin, who would ever take your wand from you? That's just atrocious." The way that he was holding it suggested that he wasn't going to just let her take it.

As for the rock?

That was laughable. He wasn't worried about this little twit in the least; she was nuts and shouldn't have even been in Hogwarts in the first place.

Bailey's eyes widened when Wes slipped her wand out of his pocket, and then narrowed almost immediately. But also? HA. She had been RIGHT about him carrying it on him, so TAKE THAT nonexistant person who had said that he wouldn't! Possibly that other person on her shoulder; you know, the one she never spoke to. Hmm.

Anyway! Wand! Right!

"Only the most horrible sort of person," she informed him smartly, because she wasn't about to try and suck up to him for the wand or anything. Please! She would get it back WITHOUT that. "Now just hand it over and we won't have a problem!"

The saddest part? Some part of her kind of expected it to be that easy. After all, what could he want with her wand? It was no good to him!
