[because we clearly do not have ENOUGH threads right now :P we coudn't resist this one]

Ailwin was out for a walk, himself. He was trying to enjoy the early September weather while it was still halfway nice out, especially since it was an adjustment, being cooped up inside after a summer being out and about, seeing Paris again and just generally not being stuck indoors.

His curiousity was piqued when he spotted a dark head of hear lurking about the greenhouses. Huh. That was certainly suspicious. At first, he thought it was a student, which meant investigating was his teacherly duty. Right?

Of course, a close inspection told him it definitely wasn't a student and he watched with amusement for a few moments, before loudly clearing his throat once he'd crept up behind her.

"Hide and seek with the plans, Miss Wulff?" he asked with a smirk.

Ailwin couldn't help his triumphant grin when she said he'd scared her. That had been the whole point and he couldn't help being amused that he'd accomplished that aim.

He lifted an eyebrow and laughed at the comment about the plants being cheaters. Not that he hadn't brought it on with his teasing.

"You.. are very observant," he told her, giving her an amused nod, still grinning. "I was hoping to bust some teenagers for making out, but, alas, it was only you."

He was kidding, obviously. Of all the people he could run into out here, she definitely wasn't anywhere near a disappointment.

Fail forgiven. XDD <33! ellielynwulff November 30 2007, 17:44:21 UTC

"Of course I am," she replied, grinning smugly as she crossed her arms over her chest. "One must be observant if one is to be a Transfiguration professor, no? If not, I'd have third years running around turning quills into parakeets left and right. Gotta head 'em off when they get the idea in their head!"

She winked, then shifted her stance a little and gave him an expression of 'Oh really?' when he said that he'd been hoping to bust some teenagers for making out.

"Well, if it's that disappointing for you," she replied with a sigh, as if she were willing to go out of her way to make him happy, "we can fix that. Granted, we aren't teenagers, but I don't suppose it would matter in the long run."

She leaned forward, then reached out for him as if she'd grab his robes and yank him close -- only to comically get sidetracked by the plant that she'd come in here looking for. "AH-HA!" she cried, pointing over his shoulder gleefully. "Found it."
