Michel was equally bored today. It was far, far to early to open a bottle of wine, but all his classes for the day were over. He decided that he would go down to the library to see what the latest books on the Goblin War of 1811 were (as historians seemed to be going mad writing about that recently). Most of the arguments therein seemed quite spurious to him, but every good historian had a good sense of balance with a self righteous streak. Kind of 'Well, he thinks that, he thinks that, but they're all wrong because I think this.'

Because of this, he flicked through the latest book on the way back to his office, smirking to himself at the ridiculous argument being put forward; that the structure of the banking year was the reason why war broke out. He didn't even see James walking down the corridor until he turned the page and glanced to make sure he didn't walk into anyone. "Lost, or just loitering in the corridors?"

James gave a rather cheeky grin at that, sliding his hands into his pockets as he raised both brows. Hey, at least it was a professor he liked! Not only that, it was his favourite and best class. Normally, he would have sucked up to a professor, but in this case...

"Afternoon, Professor Delame," he said with a small grin. "As for what I'm up to? Not lost, at least not yet... that hasn't happened in a good while," he said with a small shrug. "And, hey, who wouldn't want to run into someone like me? So, loitering it is. And look! You happened to be the lucky one..."

He grinned a little more. "D'you mind if I ask what you're reading?"

He laughed, as he did like James a lot, as far as students went. He was good at history, for one thing. "Easy to get lost in this castle," Michel said off hand, "But apparently I won your loitering loitering lottery here."

He smirked and flicked his book closed, keeping his place with his middle finger to show him, "Goblin Wars of 1811. Except naturally, I think this guy's all wrong. It's new, you should read it. Well argued, if nothing else."

"It is," he agreed. "And, yeah, you seem to be the lucky one who gets to spend time with me. I think anyone'd be jealous."

James's head cocked to the side. Now, if there was one class that could always interest him and pull him right in, it was History of Magic (Potions too, but.... History of Magic moreso). He grinned at that. "Goblin wars," he said with a slightly raised brow, a thoughtful look crossing his face. "We should have more of those, though these days, it'd be more like... firstie wars, since most of them resemble goblins enough."
