I think it was different enough from the original for me not to make as many comparisons.

This! It's basically a new show, which is why I wanted to see it, whereas I'm not interested in other reboots like Charmed, for instance.

I'm liking Charmed but it's still finding its footing. It does have similarities with the original though.
