Initial Post: Instructions

These are the instructions for the behind-the-scenes personnel. Everyone else can probably learn stuff, too.

CO-MODS

You are the police. Enforce the posting rules. Jump in if anyone starts fighting. That sort of thing. You will also handle tagging posts. We need to come up with a tagging scheme.

Re: tags. How about we start off with 'character name: role' and see how it goes from there?

John Sheppard: star
Rodney McKay: star
Radek Zelenka: agent
Evan Lorne: star
David Parrish: star
Markham: star
Stackhouse: star
Elizabeth Weir: owner
Laura Cadman: owner
Teyla Emmagen: owner
Samantha Carter: director
Lindsey Novak: camerawoman
Allison Simpson: camerawoman
Katie Brown: set designer
Carson Beckett: medic and fluffer
Ronon Dex: security guard
Kate Heightmeyer: acting coach

etc etc

If we end up with complicated sideshoot 'verses then we could tag those with their own miniverse names...

Maybe tagged by author too?

If you change the tags so all the dashes are also colons (like "cast:allison simpson:camera"), with the paid account, if we use Flexible Squares, we can have the tags do a hierarchy-looking thing on the sidebar (like in my layout). :D

Not sure where to ask this... I noticed you mentioned about keeping things within the SGA world. How do you feel about SG1? The characters cross over into the other show fairly often, and at least in my little fannish mind, they all hang out and such... so, opinion about using those guys?

I think that's fine! I'll change the profile to reflect that.

I promise not to abuse my power as a vetter to ruin anyone's life. //girl scout's honor//

What kind of formatting do you want for fics dearest? OH! Also, I did write a fic for Mensa_au, but it was Jack and Daniel, not John and Rodney, can that still qualify?

Just standard formatting with the header specified in the userinfo. You don't have to qualify - write on.

::ducks pre-emptively::

Given that it's a porn studio, do we want to get involved in the issue of warnings?

Good idea - I'll add it to the header requirements. No ducking necessary.

With a plea to keep it simple; I don't think any of us want to turn into hall monitors or have people warn away their plot twists! (Maybe a few things like deathfic, mpreg, non-con - you could specify a couple, then leave it up to the vetters & mods if something seemed problematic...)

Do we want to list e-mail addresses somewhere for the volunteer betas? (My LJ address is automatically filtered straight into my junk mail due to the volume of spam it gets, f'rexample, though I have another address listed on my LJ profile. I'd hate for someone to just use my LJ address and think I'm ignoring them.)

And for "volunteer betas" read "vetters and volunteer betas," because I am not volunteering to beta. *g*

(I was thinking a locked post linked from the info, so it can't be used for address harvesting or anything?)

Oh, that's a good plan! I'll make a post to that effect. Thanks!
