I so can imagine something like this happening for Neville and Luna's first "date"! Luna would be the type to invite Neville to such a gathering and he would be the type to accept, wouldn't he?

Another thing I really like about the story is how the dialogue seems so natural, making this just a perfect little slice of life. I also like all the excellent little details, like DD reading the Quibbler and taking the time to discuss it with Luna, or Luna sharing her Choc. Frogs with Neville, or Neville wondering what type of cookies would come out of Luna's fantastic kitchen. What a lovely story!

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. This was a lot of fun too write. The hardest part was trying to figure out the name of the group. I had an acronym that I wanted to use, but finding the right combination of words proved tricky.

Thank you for mentioning the little details. I think those details are so important in making a 3-D story (if that makes sense).

Thank you for your comments, I really appreciate them! :)

I really, really like this! I love all the characters you created for the meeting. They are wonderfully diverse and interesting. I also really like the way you portray Luna, especially with the cookies. Lovely story!

First, can I just say I loved your Ron Weasley icon? That was hilarious!

So glad you liked this. It was hard trying to make the members unique in the short amount of time they were in the story, so I'm very pleased that you liked them!

I had far too much fun with Luna baking cookies. She is such a joy to write. Thank you for reading and commenting! :)

This is so original! You write Luna so well. I am very jealous of your Luna-writing abiities. I love the title of "S.N.O.R.E." It's just so very Potterverse. Great job!

Thank you! I adore writing Luna. She's just such a unique voice. I'm glad you liked the title! I wasted far too much time at work figuring out the acronym. :)

Erm, is it very wrong of me to want to ask what was in those 'special' cookies? Since they were so very, very good and somewhat addictive? ;)

Nice 'getting to know you' piece. Makes me wonder what other meetings they might have during the summer. ;)

Heh. Maybe that's why Luna's so dreamy all the time? Too many...cookies? Kinda like those special brownies out there?

I'm glad you liked it! They'll probably have lots more meetings over the summer, seeing as I'm convinced they'll be canon in book seven. :)

This is why I love Neville/Luna. I mean, the cookies, barefoot!Luna (theirloveissobarefoot - seriously), Dumbledore reading the Quibbler... it was just lovely. Kind of like a fictional hug. A++++, would squee again.

(And sorry I'm a bit late commenting, btw; I have a habit of wandering away from LJ for weeks at a time, so I don't keep up with things very well ^_^)
