Luna's fingers were digging into the skin of Neville's arm as she clutched at him in fear. Her heart was pounding, and she could feel Neville shaking slightly under his grip. They were almost to Gringotts when Luna stopped suddenly.
"I don't know about this, Neville," she whispered. Neville turned to face her and took her hands. She squeezed down on them immediately until he wiggled them to silently ask her to ease up.
"I don't like it any more than you do, Luna," he said sympathetically. "But the only place in the U.K. that sells Thanis Weed killer is in Knockturn Alley, and it's not safe to go down there alone. I can't take care of the garden with Thanis Weed infesting the place." He lifted his hand from her strong grip and gently touched her cheek. "We'll be safe together."
Luna turned her head into his hand, feeling comforted by its warmth and strength. She nodded and turned to loop her arm through his. As nervous and afraid as she was, she trusted him. They would be safe together.
