I do this every single time when doing the 5 acts meme... I set up to write comment fic and somehow get derailed and write a full blown fic. Then I'm too self conscious to post it unbetaed and I come begging for help.

UGH I FEEL YOUR PAIN. Today idk how I ended up writing 2600 words of SHERLOCK fic which for one that sucks at Brit English is like, dread made fandom, and I was so fretting that I dragged a friend who's been in that fandom for a while on Skype and I copy/pasted to her as I wrote it. X__X and it was like LONG. I guess being short is not our strong suit?
