[Ah, meditation. A way to focus one's energy into where it needs to be. A way to empty one's head in order to see the path clearer. Out here at the Chocobo Farm in the peace, quiet and tranquility, one could truly concentrate. Miles away from anyone who would argue, or even interrupt. Perhaps thats why Kadaj's little outburst was taken as a bit of a shock. It knocked Sephiroth from his meditative state, how just sat cross-legged on the wooden floor of one of the bedrooms, staring intently at a crack in a floorboard. Or at least that is what it looked like]

[First response is a disturbed grunt sounded right back at Kadaj, followed a couple of seconds later by the attention feeling. Like someone pressing on shoulders, hovering just behind your head.]

Perhaps. Maybe I should keep you away little brother for being so un-confident in Mother's ability to take care of herself...

[Kadaj frowns a little at the presence, fidgeting excitedly where he stands. His stance becomes defiant, even though there is no one for him to look to. He knows he should respect Sephiroth, and he does to an extent. He doesn't like how he talks down to him though...

Not that there's any right for him to argue. It Mother didn't want Sephiroth to be boss, she would have stopped it, right?

The threat however, puts him on edge. Matching aqua eyes narrow into a glare, the tone of his thoughts rising, not without a hint of fear.]

You know that wasn't what I meant. I want to see her again! I just want to be with her...

[There is a long pause, it's almost as if Kadaj is being ignored whilst Sephiroth gathers his thoughts]

[He knows that feeling too, the raw tugging of instinct wanting to be closer to Mother all the time. It overrides all sense, as Sephiroth himself discovered when he tried to ignore the instinct back over in Migdar when Jenova would spend so long away. Despite their amnesia both Kadaj and Yazoo were more part of him than Mother and so it would only be natural for them to have this same need - right? Surely it was cruel to keep them away unnecessarily. Perhaps other puppets could be his eyes in the world and a reunion of this type was overdue?]

I- I understand, Kadaj. Come along if you want to, I would think no directions would be needed... [That is about as good of an invite as he could ever offer]

[There's a long span of silence at his superior's answer. As ready as he was to argue, Sephiroth will actually allow him?

The remnant smiles and switches directions. Indeed he won't need directions. All he needed was permission. He can't wait to see Mother again. Perhaps he was wrong about Sephiroth. He's a good big brother. Maybe he should try to be a better younger, along with son. When he speaks, there's a hint of gratitude.]

Thank you. I will be swift. Is there anything else I should do?

[His footsteps break into running, ignoring his surroundings or any possible eyes.]
