Blegh. Where is the year going? I feel as if I haven't gotten anything done yet--especially as I'm watching a ton of people struggling to stay afloat during finals, my BFF and brother included. Kinda makes me feel guilty that I've got it easy by comparison--but, hey, working part-time and writing the rest of the time, instead of going to college,

Of course, keeping that "writing the rest of the time" literal and fresh in my mind would help. I tend to get distracted too easily.
Dude, you ain't kiddin'. So....many...distractions... See, that's why I've gone back to writing everything longhand first--no computer, until I have something already written and just waiting to be typed. Helps a lot.

I've gone back to writing longhand, too. It frustrates me that I can't write as fast as I can type, but my eyes start aching after staring at the screen trying to come up with ideas, so back to pen and paper I go. So much easier on the eyes. Also, there's just something special about seeing your words in your own messy handwriting . . .

Heh--yeah, that too. I write faster in cursive, so all my notebooks are in my Southern chicken-scratch script, which I somehow inherited from my mother. Every once in a while, when I'm writing in a public place like a cafe or a restaurant, the server will come by and look over my shoulder and say, "WOW, you have such nice handwriting!" :D It's fun. Also because I know, since I write so narrow and so few people even use cursive still, they have no idea what it says.

It's really awesome when a guy has nice handwriting. Pretty much all the guys that I know (and they're not that many, LOL) have penmanship that ranges from meh to illegible.
Why can't many people read cursive, anyway? I read and write it all the time. (I've even managed to learn to read my grandmother's cursive on birthday cards.) But then, my Mom went out of her way to teach us good penmanship. (Not that we always use that skill . . .) That reminds me, I need to practice calligraphy more often.
