I've only heard "My Heart Is Broken" but I really want to listen to the whole album!

You should! If you want, you can listen to more YouTube videos with those songs in the audio, complete with lyrics, too.

I have a lot of love for Evanescence's new album. It seems to have its critics, but the criticism has never really made sense to me - like, for one example, I've heard some say they didn't care for the heavier music and that Amy's voice got drowned out, which I strongly disagree with. There's no drowning out that woman's voice - it's amazingly powerful. I loved "My Immortal", but I love the more rocking sound. The combination of the music + Amy Lee's voice is what hooked me on the band. I enjoy all of their albums, from Origins to this one.

I agree with your take on "The Change".

I think my favorites on the album right now are "Made of Stone" and "Oceans".

Through Evanescence, I discovered other bands like Within Temptation, Nightwish, and most recently, The Birthday Massacre. I'm always looking to expand my horizons in this genre. :)

AMEN!

Isn't it awesome that once you get into the music of one alternative rock/metal band, you end up finding out about a whole new genre of music through them? :)

I agree--you never can have too much epicness in your life!

It's definitely awesome! :)

As soon as I heard "Bring Me To Life" on the Daredevil movie website, I couldn't get enough of that sound.

I love it when you find an artist or band that just hits you on all levels and opens up a new world of music to you. There have been three to hit me like this: Garbage and VAST (my entry into rock music, though the first VAST album definitely has a gothic tone), and Evanescence (even more into gothic rock).

Vast? Never heard of it, but since you say its first album has a gothic tone . . . *trots over to Wikipedia and YouTube* Wow. The intro to "Here" is amazing.
