And eek, that bit about parking reminds me of going to school in Richmond. We had some pretty cool events there, but God help you if you didn't live on campus.

I think it's just an annual celebration of Japanese culture in general. That's the impression I get, anyway. Chances are there will be lots of anime cosplayers, so I think I'll just sit back and people watch. :)
