For me, this was just a regular Monday night, browsing my f-list on LJ. Right? WRONG. I stumbled across this post of lady_irena. So, basically:

4/5 of now-on-hiatus Versailles have started a brand-new band, Jupiter, with some vocalist called Zin.

Well that's just mean--posting a thing like that on April Fool's Day if it's for real.

Yeah. Some articles claim that the band was formed just as March was ending, so it might have been just a coincidence, rather than an evil plan--but I still wish they'd waited a day at least.

Oh wow yes I saw this yesterday, and then saw a tweet from Kamijo that looked like he was starting his solo debut??
It said "VersaillesボーカルKAMIJOは夏にソロデビュー!" So I'm guessing that's what it means?
I am kind of excited for this new band though! It looks like it has potential to be pretty successful in my opinion. Still hard to picture such a new start for the members and fans though x___x

Agreed! We'd prefer them all to stay together, but if they want to go separate directions artistically (even temporarily), then a new band with 4/5 of Versailles is the next best thing. Better than all of them being scattered.
