I am a student at Columbus College of Art and Design and we have to conduct a survey of our demographic regarding power tools. You would be doing my group and I a gigantic favor by answering our 12 question survey (4 of those questions are SUPER easy

You might want to redo the poll and make the text entry fields longer (you can make them up to 255 characters. You haven't given us enough space to answer several of the questions.

For the brand rating question, I ranked the given 5 best to worst (not enough space to rate each). For ratings on a 1 to 5 scale, Porter-Cable would get a 2, Bosch 2, Makita 3, DeWalt 4, and Ridgid 5.

My complaint in the worst tool question is that the batteries invariably die when I have one cut left to finish the project.

Features influence my choice most, but brand, price, and quality are all important factors too.

You didn't ask, but my personal favorite tools ever have been a cordless Bosch hammer drill and pretty much any Makita standard cordless drill.
