I am a phone hag. Everyone knows what a phone hag is, though they usually refer to them as a "receptionist" or even a "secretary." The truth is, I answer a telephone with a faux chipper voice, transfer the call, then go back to doing something else that's just as boring and pointless as being someone's living caller-ID. Hey.
This post made me laugh a little as I have been a phone hag in the past so I can relate.
Do you ever feel like a dog on a chain in that situation? I used to work with some very difficult people and that is how they made me feel at times.
But wow, the free orange juice must be really good! lol

Oh, I am most certainly a dog on a chain. My chain is, however, a phone cord. You would think they'd give me Bluetooth or something.
