I've always had weird, conflicting views that when you strung them together and laid it all out, it would make no sense. However, that being said...

I've always felt there always need to be a yin to the yang. Therefore, there will always be good and there will always be evil. Always a heaven and always a hell. And while I like the idea of the forgiveness of the fallen I don't think it's possible because of that yin & yang.

As for God being the ultimate epitome of love and therefore not condemn sinners - I remember discussions like this in Sunday School when I was a youth. We never really came to a conclusion - probably never will, but yea it makes sense. However on the flip side, as God has said, He is a jealous God and you should not put anyone else before Him - so in order to do so He just has one (really two) rule(s) (golden rule): Love God; love others. Do so, eternal salvation, don't eternal damnation.

If everything needs a yin and yang, maybe hell needs nice guys like me who are destined for eternal damnation... ;)

I can't wait to play "Pull My Finger!" with Satan...

When my atheist ass goes to hell (obviously, this is for the sake of the conversation and not something I believe), I'll tell the big guy downstairs to say sorry to the big guy upstairs who loved his son so much that he had him killed. Since I don't buy that whole ridiculous story, I get to go to hell...so I'll see what I can do when I get there...
