GUH!!!!!!! Oh this was SO sad, and very very poignant. I love the sparseness of Castiel's speech, very true to character.

Aaaagh, and even though Lucifer denies his request, Castiel still thanks him for his deliverance... THAT is really powerful.

It's one of the hardest stories I've ever written for some reason. I'm not sure it achieved my intent. Thank you for the lovely comment. I seriously don't even read death fic so writing one was tough but I promised I'd challenge myself this year.

The next one will be happier. Maybe. :)

This is so sad and beautiful. I had the idea of a Castiel POV fic of this knocking around in my head too, but this is so perfect. The end is so heartbreaking!
