The lines are shaky though. Clark doesn't plan to kill anyone, but people die around him all the time.

Do you tolerate fics that have Clark killing anyone? I'm not 100% sure on that, but I think I prefer Clark not ever having killed anyone.

I prefer Clark never killing and never intending to kill. It's what makes him a hero. I've read fiction where he's killed and been a killer, but that's fan fiction. The show should never have him ever kill. Unless it's to save Lex. ;P
