Laptop/Torchwood

The new laptop has been brought into the shop. They have to replace the whole keyboard. It seems they can't just pop in a new C key, which seems rather foolish. I'd have been just as happy to have a new key and not have to leave it there for possibly 10 days, so it could be sent out to the manufacturer to have a new keyboard put in place of the one ( Read more... )

I did that to my laptop too - there was some problem with the "2" key and I proceeded to pop it right off, trying to fix it myself. It took 2 weeks for me to get the computer back from the repair shop. I was dying because it was my only computer. Oh the pain (remembered pain...).

I'm lucky that we have a few computers in the home. I did once have to send my power cord in for repairs and that took almost a month! I went out and bought an extra cord so I wouldn't have to go without that long. It's not as easy to buy an extra laptop. I do miss the really nice screen and the faster speed.

Heh, been there.

Though, they just ship me a new keyboard and make me install it myself.

I can't believe they can't just pop in a new key. That just seems like so much more simple. I almost wish they'd just mailed it to me as well so I could still have the laptop until the new keyboard arrived.

The first season is out on DVD in the states, if you're looking for it (here). Or his episodes are definitely downloadable, if that would be easier...

Thanks for the link. I've seen that box set. It's very expensive here. I'm sure I can find the episodes somehow.

I know of two comms that should have Captain Jack's Doctor Who eps, but I don't want to name them in an open post. I'll write you an email.

I've seen the first season of Doctor Who (that's the season Jack was in) at Best Buy and HMV. It's pretty expensive for just 13 episodes, so I'd recommend downloading. I know they're out there, since I downloaded them last year.
