now, those are some disconcerting news about ootp! they better hurry up with signing both gary oldman and tom felton! i don't want any substiutions for those roles!!!

They started filming OotP today and Tom has not been signed to play Draco?

Seriously, I'm sure both Tom and Gary will be back for OotP. It's still early in the game, filming wise.

Have to agree with you on the SV funeral scene. I was looking at my watch during most of it. I did like the pretty snow, though.

I just hope they didn't cut Draco out of the film. He doesn't have much to do in this book. As long as they don't recast and I don't see why they would. They've used all the same actors for all the rolls up until now (except that guy who died and that couldn't be helped)

I probably would have enjoyed that funeral scene if it had been Lana's funeral. :)

I think at least half the cast hasn't been cast/signed yet. A lot of the adults who are supposed to return haven't been signed yet, so I suspect that they're starting to film with the younger kids at the moment and are just waiting until later for the rest. Why they'd do such a thing...I don't know.

I know that Gary Oldman wants to return, apparently he turned down a big role because he was expecting to be playing Sirius at the time. Sooo, Warner Brothers is being stupid at the moment - that's the only explanation I have. :(

It does seem odd that they wouldn't just cast everybody before filming starts. I hope that it's just because they are waiting on contracts to get signed.

Gary Oldman has to return! He just has to. On his official site it says that he hasn't been asked to return yet. :( WB is stupid. We all know that.

I know that WB stated this week that he's back, but after several HP sites contacted Gary's manager, apparently they still haven't heard anything from WB. I don't know why WB would make such an announcement, when it's not even true.

Maybe they're trying to push him into a corner? I know I've read that Gary wants more money (I don't know how true that is), so it could be their way of being all "everyone thinks you're coming back now! you have to come for this amount of money!".

i'm sure they're just a little late signing tom for OoTP. if they didn't replace the other kids, i don't see why they would replace tom. and tom has said that if he is willing to continue being draco if they still want him,i think.

Tom has said he would like to play Draco as long as they will have him. I just hope they sign soon. Otherwise I am going to have to stalk somebody.

And Tom... I don't think they'll cut Draco from the film... I mean, he has an important role to play in HBP, so why let him disappear completely in this one? And Tom will be signed... right? *makes puppy-dog eyes*
