Is Vampire Diaries really that good? I watched the pilot and found it really boring so I never went back. But quite a few people seem to be loving the show now.

I usually give a show a few episodes before I decide if I will watch, and I'm so glad I did with this show. Damon rocks! He's so insane and crazy and he loves his brothers. It is much better than I thought they would do.

I remember liking Damon and being much less interested in all the other characters. I think that may have been one of the reasons why I gave it a pass. But maybe I'll check it out this summer when everything else is on hiatus. Thanks. :)

The pilot is very Twilight-esque--girl meets vampire in school. But the plot definitely steps up, and Stefan drops out, LOL. There's a lot more going on than the first few eps would have you think.
